yes we must Reduce our Holiydays .But i cant agree with 5 star Hotel .....Mr: Shashi Tharoor

I support Mr. Tharoor. My opinion is to work on that particular day, arranging some functions to remember that day for half an hour or a maximum of one hr. Let the holiday be in some other weekends, ie. for schools and offices last working day of the week can be given a holiday. so that people come to know the importance of that particular day and can enjoy the holiday too.

Yes, what he said is right.. otherwise itself India is one of the country who give most number of holidays. Again all knows practical working hours of a Govt. employ is ( They start min 30 min late, then 2 brakes of min 15 min before lunch. After a long lunch and may be a nap then almost time for tea. 15-30 min before 5 every one is ready to go. on Fridays it is almost half day) this is all sort of accepted or it will work only like that in India. So at least on Oct 2, all offices should start in full at 9 and only 30 kin brake for lunch. No corruption on that day. :)

എന്തൊക്കെ പറഞ്ഞാലും ദേശീയ അവധി ദിവസങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ വളരെ കൂടുതല്‍ ആണു. ഇപ്പൊ ര്‍ന്തിനും ഏതിനും നാട്ടില്‍ അവധിയാണ്. ഇതു മൂലം നമുക്കു നഷ്ടമാകുന്ന പ്രവ്രുത്തി ദിവസങ്ങള്‍ പണി ചെയ്യുവാന്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കാന്‍ സാധിച്ചെങ്കില്‍ മാത്രമേ ഇന്ത്യക്കു നില നില്‍ക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കു. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ദേശീയ, സംസ്താന, പ്രാദേശിക അവധികളുടെ എണ്ണം വളരെ കുറയ്കേണ്ടതു നമ്മുടെ പുരോഗതിക്കു അത്യന്താപേക്ഷിതമാണ്. അതു കൊണ്ടു തന്നെ പി.സി എന്ന ലേഖകന്‍റെ അഭിപ്രായത്തോടു എനിക്കു യാതൊരു യോജിപ്പും ഇല്ല.

യോജിക്കുന്നു. പക്ഷെ എങ്കണ്ടജാതിക്കും കിഴുക്കാംജാതിക്കുമെല്ലാമുള്ള നിരവധി അവധികൂടി എടുത്തുകളയാമെങ്കില്‍ ഗുണം പിടിക്കും.
