If we look at Mohanlal's career it has been in a downward slope since the eighties. Ever since he had his all time high throughout the eighties he has given lesser no of memorable performances in the nineties and even fewer with highly forgettable roles since year 2K. I have always admired Mohanlal as an actor who made and acted in the right genre of movies. This was the case in the eighties. The answer to the question of Should Mohanlal retire? is entirely thrust upon the man himself. Nobone else has the right to ask him or anyone for that matter to retire. He should be in the industry as long as he desires. The fact remains that with all these other business interests he simply has to remain in the industry for obvious reasons. Lastly it would be good for the movie going public if Mohanlal takes his choice of movies little more seriously and also his performances. Its heartbreaking to see him act out worthless movies just to rake in money for his other business interests.

he has to continue his career for us.....for all mallus...nn for malluwood...nn for our great indian film industry.....let him act....nn stop to discuss such an irrevelent topic...
